1)Background Matohu is a fashion label created by Japanese design duo d, Hiroyuki Horihata and Makiko Sekiguchi. They launched their firstcollection in Tokyo in March 2006. Matohu's underlying inspiration comes from the beauty of the historical Keicho Period which lasted from the Momoyama era to the beginning of the Edo era. From September 2008, we assisted Matohu to enter the American market garnering positive reception of the brand and market-entry.
2) Sales Channel Development Working together with the brand from September 2008 to August 2009, we provided the key introduction to an aptly suited Showroom, Nouveau PR based in New York. During this period, we assisted their market entry efforts for the following collections, Spring/Summer2009 “ Tsuji ga Hana” and Autumn/Winter 2009 “ Kabuki Mono.” 3) PR & Promotional Activities ( Press Launch Event, New York) Date: October 21, 2008 Attendees included representatives from Vogue , V Magazine, French Vogue, Italian Vogue, Teen Vogue, Very Elle, WGSN, LA Confidential, Random Magazine, Tokion, Commons Sense, Rendez Vous, New York Times, NHK etc.
